It’s a beautiful, high-altitude coffee growing area with plenty of water, natural resources and smallholder producers working incredibly hard to create high quality coffee. \u003cspan class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1193\" data-end=\"1619\"\u003eRaw Material have invested in the area by creating a central collection point at \u003cstrong data-start=\"1274\" data-end=\"1293\"\u003eFinca La Aurora\u003c\/strong\u003e, as well as drying facilities down the mountain in \u003cstrong data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1358\"\u003eChinchiná\u003c\/strong\u003e, where the climate is warmer and more stable. That might sound like a small detail, but it makes a huge difference. Better drying means more consistent coffee, better quality and a better return for the producers involved. \u003cspan class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"2011\"\u003eIn Colombia, many smallholders traditionally process and dry their own coffee before selling it as parchment. That means more work, more cost and more risk sits with the producer.
